My response to (D) The name of my book is “Once Dead, Twice Shy,” by Kimberly Harrison. There are three main characters in my book that went through a change by the end. Those characters include Madison, Josh, and Nakita. These characters changed in different ways. I believe Madison went through the largest change out of the three. At the beginning Madison was your typical know-it-all, full of attitude teenager. She was mad at the world, disrespected her parents, and always broke the rules. Her mother shipped her off to dads, because she couldn’t handle her anymore. After a few weeks of being at her dads Madison went to prom. She left with a guy named Kairos, and was killed in a car crash. In the morgue she stole his amulet and it gave her the appearance of a body. Throughout the book Madison has to fight of Kairos, and his workers. It turned out that Kairos was the dark time keeper. In the end Madison ends up taking Kairos’ place, and becomes the dark time keeper. She is now respectful to her dad, and his rules. Josh also went through a lot of changes. Josh was the town hero. He was on the track team, hung out with the Jocks and the popular people, and never talked to people like Madison. On prom his dad and Madison’s dad asked him to take Madison. When Madison found out at prom she left with Kairos. During summer Madison met up with him and tried to explain to him that she was really dead. He thought she was crazy as an old bat. When Kairos tried to kill him he then believed Madison, and then started to hang out with her and defend her. In the end Josh turned out to be a really sweet guy, and stopped hanging out with the jocks and popular kids. The final person that went through a change is Nakita. She was a dark reaper that worked for Kairos. The first time Madison saw her, she knew she was a reaper because she was so beautiful. When Nakita was sent to retrieve Madison, they got into a fight. Madison put black wings (or soul eaters) in Nakita. When Nakita finally got Madison she took her to Kairos. That is where Nakita found out that Madison was the next in line to be the dark time keeper and killed Karios. Then Madison decided to take Nakita to her school so she could be normal. Nakita turned out not to be so bad, she was just looking to be a normal teenager. As you can see the three main characters of my story went through a lot of changes. Events through the story caused the characters to evolve. The change in characters made the story more appealing.
